3 systems, 1 powerful view

Combining 3 systems to create one single, powerful view of a student

How we're connecting insights across 3 core areas of student wellbeing - behaviour, SEND and safeguarding support.

The original version of De La Soul's song Three is a Magic Number -  was written to help students learn their 3-times table. It’s simple, memorable, and surprisingly relevant today.

Why 3 is the magic number in student support

Across Tes, thousands of schools already rely on:

  1. Class Charts to manage behaviour
  2. Learning Pathways to support SEND
  3. MyConcern to monitor safeguarding

Individually, each provides meaningful insight. But students don’t experience behaviour, SEND and safeguarding in isolation. And schools tell us they need systems that bring the full picture together, easily.

That's why we're strengthening the connections across our three core pastoral products. Soon, our customers will be able to view behaviour and attendance information, SEND provision plans, and safeguarding concerns, all in one place. This helps teams to:

  1. See a clearer context,
  2. Spot emerging patterns earlier,
  3. Make more confident decisions

It takes three to see the whole picture - and that is where the magic number really comes in!

What does this mean for our existing customers?

From today, we're releasing a series of features that build and improve the connections between Class Charts, Learning Pathways, and MyConcern.

The first thing our customers should notice is a change to the navigation header at the top of the page.

We're also implementing a simple way to navigate between your connected systems allowing seamless login and quick switching.

This will then evolve into a fully developed ecosystem. No more pulling data from multiple systems - just a quick way of getting to the facts.

This isn’t about adding another system

It’s about connecting Class Charts, Learning Pathways and MyConcern so they work together and the picture of each student becomes clearer over time, helping DSLs, SENCOs and school leaders make informed decisions, faster.

And of course, if you only use one or two of the suite of systems, nothing will change. You can carry on in exactly the same way that you do currently. You will just see the data you have access to. All 3 products will still work individually as they do today.
