Combining 3 systems to create one single, powerful view of a student
Supporting a child effectively requires more than a single source of information. Behaviour, attendance, SEND support and safeguarding concerns all contribute to understanding a student's needs and identifying barriers to learning.
Why 3 is the magic number in student support inclusive practice
Across Tes, thousands of schools already rely on:
- Class Charts to manage behaviour
- Learning Pathways to support SEND
- MyConcern to monitor safeguarding
Individually, each provides meaningful insight. But students don’t experience behaviour, SEND and safeguarding in isolation. And schools tell us they need systems that bring the full picture together, easily.
That's why we're strengthening the connections across our three core pastoral products.
It takes three to see the whole picture - and that is where the magic number really comes in!
What does this mean for our existing customers?
Users with access to both supported products can now navigate directly between the same student’s record in:
- Class Charts
- Learning Pathways
For example, a user can open a student in Class Charts, select Provisions, and move directly to that student’s record in Learning Pathways without searching again.
The MyConcern connection is expected later this month. This will extend the connected view to include safeguarding information, subject to the student record being available and the user having the appropriate product access.
Why this matters
As schools prepare for a new academic year, teams are reviewing how they identify barriers to learning, strengthen inclusive practice and understand the impact of support.
This first release can help schools:
- spend less time searching between Class Charts and Learning Pathways
- build a more complete understanding of each student’s behaviour and SEND needs
- support collaboration between teachers, SENDCos and pastoral teams
- make more informed, evidence-based decisions
- keep the focus on the child rather than the system
As the MyConcern connection becomes available, the wider Connected Insights direction will bring safeguarding context into that connected view too.

Inclusion Strategies encourage schools to:
- Understand barriers to learning and participation
- Prioritise evidence-based early support
- Strengthen high-quality adaptive teaching
- Foster belonging, attendance and participation
- Build stronger partnerships across school teams
By making it easier to connect information held within Class Charts, Learning Pathways and MyConcern, schools can build a more complete picture of a student's experience.
This release supports key inclusion principles including:

This isn’t about adding another system
It’s about connecting Class Charts, Learning Pathways and MyConcern so they work together and the picture of each student becomes clearer over time, helping DSLs, SENCOs and school leaders make informed decisions, faster.
And of course, if you only use one or two of the suite of systems, nothing will change. You can carry on in exactly the same way that you do currently. You will just see the data you have access to. All 3 products will still work individually as they do today.
