Giles's story

My name is Giles, and I am currently the Academic Principal of the WHBC School in Wuhan, China. I have been working as a teacher and manager of teachers overseas for more than 30 years. In my present position, I greatly appreciate the value of good quality online training courses that fit in with their working schedules as a way to advance the career paths of the teachers working with me.

A number of our teachers have selected the Tes iPGCE programme as part of their personal professional development programmes over the last few years, and those involved, both as students and mentors, have been very impressed by the high standard of the course materials provided, the level of support offered and the academic rigour involved.

Working as a mentor on the iPGCE programme, I was very impressed by the level of support and guidance offered to both the students and mentors throughout the course. I much appreciated the very professional and positive tutoring and support the Tes pathway tutor offered the candidate, which made my role as mentor very easy.

I would highly recommend this course to any teacher considering advancing their career in international education, or to a school looking for suitable training courses for their staff.
