About Altrincham College
Altrincham College is an over-subscribed modern high school set in attractive, spacious grounds in the semi-rural Hale/Timperley area of Altrincham. The school currently caters for approximately 980 pupils aged 11-18, so is the ideal size to offer opportunity and expertise in every area of the curriculum, whilst still being able to maintain a caring and secure environment for our pupils. The school is well served by public transport, ensuring easy access to all parts of Altrincham and South Manchester.
Our last Ofsted inspection (March 2017) confirmed that we are a “good” school, but perhaps more importantly, “a very inclusive school where every pupil is valued”, and within an ethos in which all students “are encouraged to reach their potential”.
The staff at Altrincham College are a very forward thinking team and we are always looking to the next stage of our development. We are excited to be taking the lead school in the South Manchester Learning Trust.

Values and vision
We believe in tension-free but firm discipline, and high standards of behaviour are expected. The school encourages respect, freedom and tolerance within a law-abiding and democratic society.
A school council is made up of elected pupils from all year groups, ensuring that students are given an active voice in the development of Altrincham College.
Altrincham College provides excellent CPD opportunities for all its staff in order for them to grow and develop their learning in an aspirational environment.
