Phorms Education – Campus Frankfurt
About Phorms Education – Campus Frankfurt
Located in Frankfurt, Germany, Frankfurt Taunus is a co-educational bilingual independent school. The school offers provision for students starting in nursery, going up to age 18 and the end of secondary school. The nursery, primary and secondary departments are all located on a single campus, although the school does maintain a second, more rural campus in Steinbach often visited by students. These campuses have seen significant development and modernisation over the years, and as a result are able to boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities. These include a range of new facilities added by the opening of a brand new purpose-built school building in 2011, housing a swimming pool, numerous modern classrooms, a basketball court, playgrounds and recreational areas for students at every level of the school. The curriculum at Frankfurt Taunus is primarily based around the German education system, with students working towards the German Abitur, a university-preparatory qualification, as well as optional North American-style Advanced Placement Programmes. The curriculum at the school also has strong English/German bilingual elements, with students being exposed to and taught in both languages at a young age.
Head of School
Mr Michael Gehrig
Teachers at Frankfurt Taunus work in a more flexible environment, with less conventional homework being set and smaller class sizes than other schools. Teachers all be expected to have a strong grasp of both English and German, and to hold appropriate educational qualifications such as a postgraduate diploma.
