This lesson is aimed at getting pupils to identify extremist behavior and discuss the difference between extremism and terrorism. Since we have focused heavily on how Islam has been affected by terrorism and the media in previous topics, I have not included any specific information on IS in this lesson. This is aimed at a top set year 9 class but can be easily adapted through differentiated questioning. Learning objectives: To understand what is meant by the term extremism and how it differs from terrorism. To explain some of the reasons somebody might hold extremist views. To discuss case studies of extremism.

Or, it could be used as an example for a flip learning activity, where students take control of their learning, they could doing by summarising what they know and creating a presentation to the rest of the class in groups. Some examples of the content is: * Key Philosophers - Ludwig Wittgenstein and Rudolf Bultmann, * Strengths and Weaknesses, * How does it relate to R.L?, * Quizzes, to test students knowledge. ************************************************************************************************************************ If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email thomassaunders00@gmail or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help! ***** Be sure to follow me, to keep update with my most recent uploaded resources! *****
