This resource is a fantastic way of tracking your students progress through athletics and setting weekly targets. This tracker has a wide range of events from short distance, long distance, throwing and jumping events.
This booklet contains key teaching point for each athletic event, broken down into phases of the technique. Ideal for KS3 for students to support self and peer assessment. It is also contains questions which link to components of fitness and technique to create links to GCSE PE. Could also be given for non participants to complete as part of a coaching role.
These athletics coaching cards are used before, during, and after lesson. The cards can be used as a way of assessment with each event having a bronze, silver, gold, platinum, elite scoring system for students to test them selves against. These scores have been published by British athletics for secondary schools to compete against.
The events that are included are; 100 meter/200 meter sprint, 800 meter + race, shot put throw, discuss throw, javelin throw, long jump, and triple jump.
The coaching cards feature teaching points, a diagram of how to perform the technique, and an assessment criteria.
A unit of planning (6 sessions) for KS1 children to develop their skills through Athletics. The planning encompasses a range of core skills as well as opportunities to apply them through game situations.
