Keeping Healthy QR Code Quiz

This Science (Keeping Healthy) QR code activity is perfect for introducing the topic of ‘Keeping Healthy’ or as a friendly reminder about how to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be amazed at how much they can learn about keeping healthy in a short amount of time! This activity works best in the outdoors. Hide the QR codes around your outdoor area and then give the children the answer sheet and the I-pads. They must go around, find the answers, and complete the answer sheet. If you are using the QR codes, you will need a QR scanner, which you can download free from the app store. Alternatively you can print the cards two sided (with the answers on the back) if you do not have the technology available. I find it works really well if you get the children to do the QR quiz, and then a week later give them the same questions to see what they have remembered. Contents: - 16 QR Quiz Cards - 16 Cards with answers that you can print on the back of the question cards - 1 answer sheet We hope you have as much fun as our class did! ------------------------ Please don’t forget to rate this product and provide feedback to earn credits that you can use toward future purchases on TpT. This resource is a collection of images on the topic of keeping healthy. It is ideally suited for use with students of younger ages and in any language, including ESL. The 48 pictures will hopefully teach or remind learners about the importance of being healthy. They include teeth, eyes, washing hands, warm and protective clothes etc… Pictures are presented in various sizes, i.e. 1, 2, 4 and 12 to a page. This allows for a variety of activities, from flash cards to pairs games, depending on the skills of your learners. A PowerPoint presentation features all 48 pictures as well as slide 1 for you to adapt to your needs, e.g. learning aims and an empty slide at the end to allow you to add anything you would like. This presentation file is also included as a .pdf file The colourful pictures can just as easily be printed in black and white. Keeping Healthy is a major issue in every school. This presentation helps you to discuss it clearly with your class. The clear visual prompts are a great starting point. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different healthy activities being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching set of story prompts. The students could also take five of the laminated photos and create them into a story . The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
