This Year 6 maths teaching resource includes a PowerPoint and differentiated worksheets for independent learning, to guide your class through using addition and subtraction to solve calculations and multi-step problems as per the curriculum objectives of the Year 6 maths programme of study (Number - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Double-sided worksheet (and answers) with another 8 problems
The file containing the cards has the question sides on the odd numbered pages and the answer sides on the even numbered pages. If your printer can print double-sided you can set it to print the answer sides on the reverse of the questions, or else you can put the card or paper back in the printer in the correct order and print the even numbered pages on the other side. You can laminate them and have children work on them individually or in groups, checking the answer on the back once they’ve had a go at it. Alternatively, make it competitive and have individuals or pairs race to get the answer, using a timer. A separate card featuring all answers is included if you prefer not to print the answers on the back of the cards.
Use the double-sided worksheet for classwork or homework.
