Resources for a class display, ideal for transition day activities. Each child writes their name on the crayon and draws their picture in the circle. They then colour in the crayon. All are then laminated, lined up on 3/4 rows and placed together as though they were in a box. They can also be curved and stapled down to give a 3D effect. Add a section at the bottom to make the crayon box (this can be flat but ideally would be 3D). Print the ‘Crayon Display Text’ (you can choose either the outlined version or filled). Ensure it is printed in A3 and add to your box.

I have created this resource to support the transition from Year 6 to Year 7. It is an activity booklet designed for children to complete independently perhaps as part of their home learning and give them an opportunity to share any worries with adults. The booklet includes 15 pages of advice and activities and focuses on the key skills they will need during their transition. It also gives children the opportunity to manage their feelings. This is a resource we use to prepare KS2 year 6 children for school transition. We work through the booklet with the children on a 1:1 basis but this can be a self driven document.

I produced this to use with year 6 pupils to give them a taster of languages at secondary school. There is a brief section of introductions, numbers and a dialogue in a cafe. The resources are in Spanish, French and Italian.
