KS2 teacher working in the UK. My resources vary from basic starters to full, detailed lesson plans for a variety of year groups for the UK Primary School age range.
Resources for a class display, ideal for transition day activities.
Each child writes their name on the crayon and draws their picture in the circle. They then colour in the crayon. All are then laminated, lined up on 3/4 rows and placed together as though they were in a box. They can also be curved and stapled down to give a 3D effect. Add a section at the bottom to make the crayon box (this can be flat but ideally would be 3D).
Print the ‘Crayon Display Text’ (you can choose either the outlined version or filled). Ensure it is printed in A3 and add to your box.
This resource is for Year 5 and includes a variety of resources covering gestation (humans and animals), puberty, and old age developments. This resource includes: a topic cover page, 2 lesson plans, 2 lesson powerpoints, a variety of worksheets, and a differentiated worksheet. The lesson plans are detailed but can easily be reduced. The learning objectives are: 'to know what happens during pregnancy and explore the gestation periods of different animals' and 'to consider the changes that take place during puberty and old age'. This resource covers the statutory requirement: 'describe the changes as humans develop to old age' (DfE, 2013), as well as some aspects of working scientifically. The resources are all designed to be used together.
Ideal for Year 1, these PPT documents can be printed as normal due to its A4 size format. Both can easily be laminated and reused.
There are two games included: Snakes and Ladders (number bonds to 10 only) and Match Me (number bonds to 10 and 20).
The Snakes and Ladders game requires two dice. If they roll a number bond to 10, they can move 2 spaces, if they roll an odd number they can only move 1 space, any other is 0 spaces. This allows the children to secure their knowledge of number bonds to 10 as well as odd numbers in a fun and familiar context.
The Match Me game includes two sheets (bonds to 10 and bonds to 20). Both have 2 sets per page. These cards could then also be used in an interactive whole class game in which the teacher calls a number, and the children must find the number to make the bond to 10. Similarly, they could do this in their pairs as a quick lesson starter.
Worksheet to practice and revise addition and subtraction fact families to 10 and 20.
Includes an extension to encourage the children to use what they know to work more independently.
Sheets can be used on their own or combined to get equal practice for related facts to 10 and 20.
Visual aids to match the exact pictures used (socks, apples etc.) can also be found in my shop under ‘Fact Families Visual Aid’
In both PowerPoint and PDF format and comes with answers for ease of marking.
Year 3 radio broadcast lesson plan. It includes the context that the lesson needs to be taught in in terms of what they already know, the resources required, the introduction, and final part of the lesson. This lesson plan contributes to their Year 3 Narrative Unit 1. It aims to develop their use of appropriate vocabulary for the context, and their ability to identify the key elements of an informative broadcast and the language used in terms of how it can create a change in focus. A large focus for this lesson plan is the development of their speaking and listening skills in terms of performing to the group, working in a group, and listening to others and their feedback.
Quick game to go alongside a lesson on contractions.
Ideal for KS1 and any other year groups recapping contractions.
Designed to be cut out as triangles. The children must pair them back up.
Can be kept together with a paper clip or in a small envelope and reused.
Children who finish can be challenged to beat their time to match them up.
Comes in both PowerPoint and PDF format.
The files also include the option of 1, 2 or 3 to a page for those needing a bigger version or to make them more suitable for group, paired and individual work.
Printing them on colour may make them more appealing but may make the text harder to read for some children.
This resource includes a lesson plan for the introduction of bar charts with timings and key vocabulary. Also included is a worksheet for the children to work on during the lesson with guidance and modelling.
The resource is most suited to Year 4 children but could be adapted to suit other year groups. It fits well with the Tables lesson that can be found in my TES shop.
This resource is part of the Tables and Bar Charts Bundle in my TES shop which includes this lesson, the tables lesson, and the final consolidation lesson with worksheets.
I hope you find this resource useful and I would greatly appreciate a review!
Year 3. This resource includes the lesson plan and the relevant accompanying worksheet.
This lesson gives the children the opportunity to create their own scenes as they are using their imaginations in response to the video clip they are shown, developing different Drama skills such as hot seating, improvisation, performing and evaluation. It provides them with opportunities to perform to “a range of audiences” by improvising in smaller groups during hot seating, and performing their scenes to the wider group (ACE, 2003).
This resource is designed to be used alongside the cross-curricular links to both Music and Art also through the Rainforest theme. Having a theme such as the Rainforest can give children a broad concept to work with so that they have the opportunity to explore the theme in a way that suits their learning style. Using the Rainforest theme can allow the children to access their appropriate KS2 expectations to “produce work with a clear story line and structure”, and following the theme through the activity provides the children with the opportunity to engage more with their characters (ACE, 2003).
This resource can be used in a Drama session or before a writing task linked to The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. They can be teacher read in a whole group for younger children or used independently in small groups.
This resource is a Year 6 Mathematics lesson plan on Geometry: Properties of Shapes. Included in this resource is: A detailed lesson plan including lesson objectives, outcomes, starter, main activity and timings (based on a 1 hour lesson).
There is also two types of worksheets differentiated based on ability. The Green Sheet (as detailed in the lesson plan) is for the lower-ability children, and the Blue Sheet is for the higher-ability children, with the opportunity for you to decide on the activity most appropriate for those children in the middle. The activity itself is for the majority the same, as is the final outcome, and the basic knowledge of the topic. The worksheets come as two sets of Green and Blue, one set is a Task List of the activities, the second is a Worksheet with space for answers/drawings removing the need for books during the lesson. For those children who are significantly struggling there is also a Net Guidance Sheet.
The learning objectives (DfE, 2014) for this lesson are:
1. To recognise, describe and build 3-D shapes
2. To make nets for 3-D shapes
3. To draw 2-D shapes using given dimensions and angles
A free download of one of the worksheet sets is available for you to take a look at before you buy, however the lesson plan helps considerably as does having the differentiated worksheet. If you do choose to download this resource or the free one I would really appreciate it if you could leave a review.
This resource is ideal for EYFS settings whereby the sheets are printed onto A3 or A4 and cut out so the children can physically place them in size order. They can also be used for counting or to add to displays, role play areas or small world activities.
A set of sheets with objects of different sizes for children to order in terms of size.
This particular resource has a beach and sea theme, there are also a variety of other themes in my shop as well as an entire bundle of all themes.
The icons themselves are from Microsoft PowerPoint under ‘Icons’ however they are only available in black and white.

Year 1 key words on a neutral wooden background for display.
There are two files each with a different font to allow for schools without access to the Sassoon font originally used.
This resource provides a great final activity to check for the understanding of and competency in identifying number bonds to 10 and 20. The sheets have a missing component of the number bonds with the number corresponding to a colour. This is great for the children to improve their familiarity with numbers, seeing the number bond as an entire calculation and finding missing digits with the added advantage of colouring.
There are 4 worksheets in total with answer sheets:
Number bonds to 10 (higher and lower)
Number bonds to 20 (higher and lower)
The ‘lower’ worksheets have less items to consider allowing them to use whiteboards and any other resources to support their workings to find the answer. Each sheet has a question encouraging them to consolidate their learning.
The higher Number bonds to 20 sheet also contains a mixture of single and double missing digits for the bonds to 20.
The worksheets are provided in a PPT format however the size is set to A4 allowing them to be printed as normal.
This bundle is designed to be used alongside an after school club primarily, however there are elements that could easily be used individually. The idea is to provide an opportunity for those who may not have the opportunity to travel or experience other cultures to do so in an exploratory and fun context with their peers. There are many simple and free ways in which the classroom can be transformed to support the context of being on an aeroplane such as moving chairs, lights off, belt checks and these can go a long way to supporting the theme and creating an exciting atmopshere.
Included:
Session plans
Introductory PowerPoint-Travelling by Aeroplane
PowerPoints for each country (Spain, Mexico, China, U.S.A)
Passport Templates
Boarding Pass Templates
Flag Templates
The children should be encouraged to colour and use their ‘Passport’ to document their travels, the document should be printed, cut and stapled together to make their whole passport. They should also be given a boarding pass at the beginning of their ‘flight’. These passes are editable allowing you to change the departing airport and names.
The flags will be coloured and the children must choose each week the correct flag to stick in their passport. Their pages allow space for the draw/write about their ‘visit’ and include key information to share.
Each country PPT includes examples of must-see areas, language translations, key facts (currency and capital) and an example of a popular food. The session plans outline ways in which the classroom can be transformed as well as incorporating food testing. Should you wish to use food samples, a permission slip has also been included to hand out to parents.
I really hope you find this resource useful should you decide to set up a Travel Club- I would love to see it in action. If you download this resource could you also post a review, as this really helps to ensure the best content is available.
This resource is perfect for anyone trying to promote the mental wellbeing of individuals or whole classes. The idea is to establish a routine of finding a positive and purposeful aspect of every day.
The coversheet (one for each year group) is placed on an exercise book and would look lovely printed on coloured paper. Daily, the children write the date, one thing they have learned and one thing that has made them happy.
This bundle includes three lesson plans with resources to be used with the cross-curricular rainforest theme. Art, Drama and Music are all covered in this bundle. All individual lesson plans can be found on their own in my shop however purchasing the entire bundle is cheaper and more beneficial in terms of its fluidity.
This resource is simply an extra practice sheet (with a separate answer sheet) for students who simply need a few more practice questions to solidify their knowledge and understanding. It is most appropriate for Year 5 however can be adapted to suit other years. Some of the questions are taken from the Rising Stars programme pupil workbooks.
This sheet is handy for the student to either work on during spare time they may have/homework club, or can be set as casual homework to be gone through together or marked together at a later date.
It is worth noting that I put together this sheet originally for a student who asked for more help, it was not extra work given, it was provided at their request, and that is how I wish for this sheet to be distributed to any other students.
