Two example diary entries based on The Iron Man by Ted Hughes from two perspectives.

Each model diary entry text comes with a feature find worksheet and answers.

Pupils read and examine the WAGOLL recounts before writing their own versions. A variety of features are included in the diary entries, making the exemplars ideal for slow writing.

Bonus: a set of quizzes, each based on a different chapter of the novel.
