I teach IGCSE Geography at an international school in Southeast Asia. Every year a student would tell me the greenhouse effect was the problem, which is exactly the misconception that loses marks.
This module covers the topic for Cambridge IGCSE Geography 0460, written for the 2027 syllabus. It includes a 42 slide PowerPoint presentation, a matching Word workbook in four sections in full colour and grayscale, a full answer key throughout, and access to 21 interactive activities for this module on the Geography Oasis website, included as a bonus.
Syllabus coverage:
- The natural greenhouse effect, and why the planet needs it
- The enhanced greenhouse effect, and how human activity causes it
- The main greenhouse gases and their relative warming power
- The use of fossil fuels as the main human cause
- Deforestation, and the three ways it damages the climate
- Agriculture, including livestock, fertilisers and rice production
- Emissions by sector
Also suitable for AP Human Geography, World Geography, and any climate change or environmental issues unit at ages 14-16.
