I teach IGCSE Geography at an international school in Southeast Asia. My classes could list the impacts of climate change all day, and then lose most of the marks because they never explained how one impact caused the next.
This module covers the topic for Cambridge IGCSE Geography 0460, written for the 2027 syllabus. It includes a 47 slide PowerPoint presentation, a matching Word workbook in four sections in full colour and grayscale, a full answer key throughout, and access to 21 interactive activities for this module on the Geography Oasis website, included as a bonus.
Syllabus coverage:
- Present-day and predicted future impacts of climate change
- Rising sea levels, taught as two mechanisms: ice melt and thermal expansion
- Changes to global temperature and weather patterns
- Impacts on food production and water security
- Impacts on the natural world, including coral reefs and species distribution
- Displacement of people, and the uneven distribution of impacts
- Winners as well as losers in a warming world
Also suitable for AP Human Geography, World Geography, and any climate change or environmental issues unit at ages 14-16.
Format and compatibility:
Delivered as PowerPoint (.pptx) and Word (.docx) files. All written content is fully editable, though diagrams and visuals are not.
This is Module 4 of a growing Climate Change unit. If you like what you see, check out the other modules in my store, or grab the full bundle and save.
