I teach IGCSE Geography at an international school in Southeast Asia. I kept marking case-study answers that said Iceland and nothing more specific, which is never enough for a detailed specific example.
This module covers the topic for Cambridge IGCSE Geography 0460, written for the 2027 syllabus. It includes a 64 slide PowerPoint presentation, a matching Word workbook in four sections in full colour and grayscale, a full answer key throughout, and access to 20 interactive activities for this module on the Geography Oasis website, included as a bonus.
Syllabus coverage:
- One detailed specific example of a named country: Iceland
- Why its geology explains both its renewable energy and its vulnerability
- The impacts of climate change: glaciers, coasts, fisheries and farming
- The responses to climate change, including geothermal power and Carbfix
- The strategies and techniques used to manage climate change, including sustainable ones
- Evaluating those strategies, and being honest about their scale
- What a detailed specific example answer needs: named places and real figures
Also suitable for AP Human Geography, World Geography, and any climate change or environmental issues unit at ages 14-16.
Format and compatibility:
Delivered as PowerPoint (.pptx) and Word (.docx) files. All written content is fully editable, though diagrams and visuals are not.
