This resource is completely inspired by Stephen Lockyer (@mrlockyer on Twitter). He spoke about turning a reasoning paper to an arithmetic paper, showing that children’s scores always improved when they completed the maths with the context removed.

Here I have extracted the arithmetic elements from the 2019 reasoning paper questions to show the children that the maths is no harder - they just need to find it amongst all the words!

Always looking for different ways to practice for SATs. This is a very simple way to address the arithmetic needed.
