Lesson objectives that will be learnt are listed below:
Develop an understanding of mark making and its use in drawing and painting to produce tonal effects.
Develop their knowledge of, and ability to use several different drawing media
Develop their understanding of the different qualities that different media possess
Develop an understanding of the techniques of sgraffito and frottage
Develop their ability to produce tonal variation through use of layered mark making
Develop their understanding of primary, secondary and tertiary colours and the colour wheel which will in turn help to develop their understanding of colour mixing
Develop their understanding of how different shades and tones of colour may be produced
Develop their understanding of the different types of colours (analogous, complementary, warm and cold) and how these may be used to create different feelings in an image
Develop their ability to use mark making and colour theory to produce an image.
To use a view finder effectively to produce a good standard outcome.
Associate colour with emotions.
Demonstrate creative design skills and appropriate annotations.
Investigate and research appropriately and effectively.
