Make AS Mechanics Modelling Escape Room easier to teach and easier for learners to revisit with this practical, ready-to-use resource. Clear explanations, purposeful practice and flexible classroom use help you move from first teaching to confident application.

What’s included?
The Mechanics Simulation Glitch: Reality Failure is an extended AS Mechanics escape room focused on mathematical modelling. A simulation has begun confusing idealised assumptions with reality. Students must complete 30 challenges across five zones to diagnose the model and unlock the final code. Topics include particles, light and inextensible strings, smooth and rough surfaces, resistance, resolving forces, reactions, uniform rods, pulleys and evaluating the limitations of mechanical models. Students must calculate, interpret and decide whether modelling assumptions are appropriate in different situations. ** What is included ** * 30 AS Mechanics challenges * 5 themed escape-room zones * Evidence tokens and red herrings * Final master code * Full teacher answer key Use for AS Mechanics revision, mathematical modelling, consolidation or enrichment. Recommended for approximately 2–3 lessons. Use the themed zones to structure paired or small-group problem solving, with pupils explaining their methods as they collect the evidence for the final code.

Flexible classroom use
Use it for whole-class teaching, collaborative problem solving, enrichment, intervention or revision.
