This resource includes five revision booklets for BTEC Sport Component 3 designed to help students prepare for the external assessment.

The booklets focus on the topics that my classes have struggled with the most over the last few years, based on exam performance and mock assessments. Each booklet contains a range of exam-style questions to help students practise applying their knowledge and improve their written responses.

These booklets are ideal for revision lessons, intervention sessions, homework or independent study in the lead up to the Component 3 exam.

The booklets cover the key areas of the specification including:

• Principles of Training
• Components of Fitness
• Fitness Testing
• Training Methods
• Training Programme Design

Students practise analysing scenarios, identifying appropriate fitness tests, applying training methods and explaining how the principles of training can be used to improve performance.

A teacher mark scheme is also included to support marking, self-assessment or peer assessment.
