A comprehensive PPT with just under 30 slides looking at the importance of tradition at Christmas time. The assembly focuses in on the three traditions of xmas pudding, crackers and pantomimes, looking at how the traditions came about and how they have evolved. It then talks about the importance of traditions and rituals (whatever your beliefs) in British society.
NB: This assembly has been designed for delivery by one person. However, a version is available for whole class delivery which comes with a script. Please see https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/christmas-tradition-assembly-whole-class-delivery-11794076

Used this for my final Christmas assembly, very informative. One member of staff was able to share her experiences of ‘Stir up Sundays’ when she was a child.
