A complete assembly with both PPT and script for the start of the new school year. The assembly features a 'how to start the school year successfully' guide with six main points including 'be prepared to fail' and 'listen'. Youtube clips featuring famous people who have failed, Mo Farrah and the benefits of being positive are included as well as the Back to School soundtrack from Grease 2 as entry music. Designed primarily for year 7 - year 11. The assembly has been written for class delivery or for one person.

A 15 slide PPT which has been designed for an assembly or simply as an informative resource to help pupils understand about VE day and the 75th anniversary on May 8th. It looks at the events leading up to VE day in 1945 and also describes events of 7th May and VE day itself. There is a link to Churchill’s speech given on VE Day and each slide has photographs on. The PPT is intended to educate pupils as to what VE Day was as we approach the 75th anniversary. Resource is suitable for KS2,3, and 4.

A comprehensive PPT presentation on the use of paragraphs. Ideal for Year 6 SATs but would also work well for any other KS2/KS3/KS4 students needing to know about paragraphs. The presentation has 4 lesson outcomes which could be delivered over one lesson or divided into smaller chunks (learning reflection/mini-plenaries included for each learning outcome). The resource looks briefly at the importance of paragraphs and then talks about TiP ToP. Pupils need to identify where and why paragraphs are needed in two different texts (worksheets included). Also included is a planning task where pupils need to plan their paragraphs and topic sentences for a piece of non-fiction writing. I am an English teacher who specialises in grammar and who works in both primary and secondary schools. Thanks for looking.

I then go on to explain how to identify an active sentence and then a passive sentence. I also look at how to convert from active to passive and vice-versa. There are activities for pupils to complete and several SATs style questions as well as teacher notes. The PPT has been designed for Year 6 SATs but could be used with older pupils and could be used to introduce active and passive or as a revision tool. A 9 slide PPT ideal for Year 6 SATs prep but also good for teachers of KS2/3/4 needing to teach / revise where capital letters go. The PPT looks at where capital letters need to go and includes several independent tasks which results in pupils having to really think for themselves. Also includes a SATs style question which can easily be removed if not relevant to your class. The last task is the creation of a poster to demonstrate pupils' knowledge of where capital letters need to go. This is a slightly modified version of my last Donald Trump PPT so please don't buy again if you bought the original. The PPT has been redesigned to reflect the inauguration of the new president. Could be used in assembly or tutor time and links into current affairs and citizenship. Suitable for upper KS2 and secondary. Each activity has been designed to complete at home, thus giving you 4 weeks worth of homework and one more if you add a week for rehearsal or making a PPT to go with their speech. The first homework looks at Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech and asks pupils to identify persuasive features. Self-assessment is also included.
