Can be delivered as a class/form assembly but can also be delivered by a single person. The assembly covers the history of the EU and a look at the two sides of the argument; it contains music for entry into assembly and also has a couple of youtube clips.

The PPT looks at the weddings of Prince William, Prince Charles and the Queen; royal wedding traditions and what we might see on May 19th. Also, I look at why Britons enjoy royal weddings so much and some basic psychology behind it. Lastly, there are a couple of slides showing the downside of a royal wedding (cost) and a look at a fundraising initiative called ‘The Royal Bedding Day’. Lots of information and pictures of the royal family. Could be used from KS2 upwards. NB Sometimes preview slides have missing words or appear unformatted. A comprehensive PPT presentation on the use of paragraphs. Ideal for Year 6 SATs but would also work well for any other KS2/KS3/KS4 students needing to know about paragraphs. The presentation has 4 lesson outcomes which could be delivered over one lesson or divided into smaller chunks (learning reflection/mini-plenaries included for each learning outcome). The resource looks briefly at the importance of paragraphs and then talks about TiP ToP. Pupils need to identify where and why paragraphs are needed in two different texts (worksheets included). Also included is a planning task where pupils need to plan their paragraphs and topic sentences for a piece of non-fiction writing. An 18 slide PPT which has been written as a revision guide for the language question (q2) in Paper 1 of AQA's GCSE English Language spec. There is a focus on what examiners are looking for as well as handy hints throughout. I look at what is meant by language and look in detail at what examiners are looking for when marking this question. A simplified marks scheme is given so that pupils can track progression. An example of a level 4 paragraph is also given. The PPT uses the 2017 'Rosabel' paper as a basis. The revision guide contains activities which can be done at home or in the classroom. The PPT has been designed for either teachers to share in the classroom as part of pupils' revision and/or as a document for pupils to take home.
