Despacito is a fashionable song at the moment that my Yr10 and Yr9 seem to love and sing in the corridors. As an end of term treat, I have done a little worksheet to go with this song. It has a text in Spanish explaining the background of this song with vocab and comprehension questions. Then a fill the gaps activity before trying to sing it as a class. I have also put the answers to vocab/questions and full lyrics. Enjoy...!

Thanks for this worksheet. I tried it out with a 6th former and found the background text and comprehension to be fine (I changed one of the answers as it was written collaboratively), but the listening task was very challenging with 45 gaps to fill. So I decided to create another worksheet accessible with KS3 vocab knowledge, focussing on the lyrics of the more popular version with Justin Bieber, since most of my students seem to want to understand the lyrics more than the background. So thanks also for inspiring me to do a related worksheet
