Elizabethan England 1568-1603 Timeline AQA GCSE 9-1
  • This is a great timeline to use in the classroom or for display in the department. I have mine now displayed in the classroom so I can refer to it as I am teaching the Elizabethan unit of the GCSE 9-1 course. The students have a visible chronology of Elizabeth I and her difficulties as a female ruler and the religious challenges she faced. T

  • The timeline also cites the exploration Raleigh and Drake, the plays and theatres of Shakespeare, the defeat of the Spanish Armada and the first Poor Law.

  • The aim is to clarify and simplify the subject content for the students and each of the 49 slides has an accompanying picture and commentary on the side. Many of my students have already downloaded and downsized the slides to aid them in their revision at home.

  • The resource includes suggested teaching strategies and differentiated materials and comes in PDF and Powerpoint formats if there is a wish to adapt and change.
