Eurovision 2026 Sweepstake Activity

A very successful form activity we trialled last year to celebrate diversity and multilingualism! Priced at £5 because it took AGES.

Each form group is allocated a country at random. Each country then has a slide on the PowerPoint with the following:

• Key facts about the country
• Image of the performer
• Discussion question
• Key phrases in the official language/s
• The country’s flag
• Link to their official page on the Eurovision site where you’ll find a video of their entry, artist bio and song lyrics.

Forms can spend as little or as much time as they want on this, depending on your form time program.

There are also suggestions on the PowerPoint of additional activities students can do to get more involved, earn house points, etc, as well as a slide with trigger warnings for some videos (I watched all of them so you don’t have to!)
