FDP – Worded Problem homework. Based on questions from the SAMs, New Specimen papers from EDEXCEL.
WAGOLL (What A Good One Looks Like) Sheet – same as a prompt sheet, I have started given pupils a WAGOLL sheet with each homework to show them “What a good one looks like”. This way the know my expectation for homework.
1. 7 worded problems. You are probably thinking why so little? Well, because my pupils find worded problems really difficult so I am trying to get quality homework rather than quantity homework. I do see a huge difference in the quality I am receiving and I am happy with that. Based on new style questions from the Pearson Edexcel exams.

Idea behind task;
To develop pupil’s skills at answering worded problems/functional skills. To ensure pupils try the worded problem questions in the exam and don’t just leave them blank. To encourage pupils to use the WAGOLL sheet to help them access questions they are not sure on. To improve the quality of homework being handed in.
