Finding the Distance Between Two Points – Playlist and Teaching Notes
In this playlist, students explore standard 8.G.B.8. They learn how to apply the Pythagorean theorem to find the distance between two points in a coordinate system. Students are guided through examples of how to find vertical and horizontal distances on a coordinate plane. Students apply what they learned by using the Pythagorean theorem to find the distance between two points.
