A fun animal-themed literacy resource for EYFS and KS1, supporting early reading, handwriting, pencil control, vocabulary development and fine motor skills.
This resource includes 10 pages of animal worksheets in both colour and black and white. Children identify and name the animals, read and trace their names, and practise letter formation and pencil control.
Each worksheet features 4 different animals, with matching pairs for children to cut out and match. This hands-on activity develops animal recognition, word recognition, scissor skills, visual discrimination and hand-eye coordination.
The black-and-white worksheets can also be used for colouring, providing extra pencil control practice.
