I used this assembly as an introduction to a new whole school drive on improving students numeracy through a tutor time activity called the maths Olympics.
The assembly starts with a video which shows photos of a boy from birth to 11. The students were mesmerised by it and it meant they all came in nice and calmly.
The assembly looks at the number of days and hours students have been alive and what they have done with their time and focuses on the importance of having a growth mind set to make the most of their time.
The assembly lasts around 15 minutes and worked really well.
