Fully resourced lesson aimed at KS4 but could be adpated for use at KS3 or KS5. Case study about management of tourism to ensure a successful tourist destination based around Torbay Council's tourism strategy - Turning the Tide (2010).
Students will be able to describe negative impacts tourism brings to Torquay, describe how Torquay is managed to cope with large numbers of tourists, and explain how Torquay is managed to ensure the continuing success of tourism.
