A helpful scenario resource that can be used with SEND pupils, impulsive children, those who are new to walking home alone or children who need a dilemma intervention/focus group.

Allows children to discuss their ideas about risk in a context outside of the classroom and enables LSA/1:1/Support Staff to guide them. Most children will be able to identify some risks but not all. e.g. They would refuse to go to a man’s car but perhaps be more likely to accept a lift from a woman.

Talking point: A stranger is a stranger. Discuss how what people wear can also change our perception of risk.

  • Worksheet to record answers (7 scenarios)
  • Image bank (can be laminated as used as talking points)
