Inference Questions for My Dad's a Birdman by David Almond (chapters 1 to 10) inc. teacher notes

Aimed at year 3/4 children, based on a heartwarming book with an Accelerated Reader score of 3.0 (so fairly simple in terms of vocabulary) this sequence of lessons will help teachers to model very specific inference strategies.

The first 5 lessons focus on making inferences about characters’ motives
The next 5 lessons focus on making inferences about characters feelings

For each lesson there are suggested questions for teachers to model the answers to - the written work for the children follows the same outline as what they have had modelled to them in each lesson.

The worksheets for the independent work are based on my Reading Roles content domains (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/reading-roles-a-way-to-help-children-remember-the-cognitive-domains-ks1-and-ks2-11416334)
