International Trade and Factor-Mobility Theory is a lecture which is covered during International Business Module for bachelor/master level students.

LECTURE OVERVIEW:

This lecture provides a conceptual foundation for the exploration of the international trade process. First, it examines the basic theories of mercantilism, absolute advantage, and comparative advantage. Then it explores patterns of trade in light of the theories of country size, factor proportions, and country similarity. It also considers the role of distance and explains the relevance of Product Life Cycle Theory and Porter’s diamond of national competitive advantage. The lecture concludes with a discussion of factor mobility and its relationship to the international trade process.
