Irregular preterit conjugation and sentence practice

*Infinitives included: hacer, venir, querer, andar, tener, estar, poner, poder, saber, decir, traer, conducir

Part 1: For each infinitive, write the irregular preterit conjugations .

*In order to form the verb conjugations, attach the preterit verb endings to the irregular stem of each infinitive.

*Students will write all 6 conjugations for each of the 12 infinitives. A structured template is provided. Irregular stems and verb endings are provided.

Part 2: Sentence practice: Create an original sentence by conjugating the infinitive in the preterit and then add 4-5 words to expand on the sentence. Avoid repetition (using the same words over and over). Be sure that your sentence makes sense. *No collaboration or on-line translators.

*Students will write 12 sentences (one for each irregular infinitive).

Answer key is included on pages 4-5 for part 1 only. For part 2, student answers will vary.
