


Kingdom - Science and Nature Documentary
Easy to follow student worksheet to accompany the BBC documentary Kingdom, Episode 1. Questions cover the full 45 minutes of the documentary. There is a helpful teacher sheet with answers.
Designed for use with a year 7 group for a place based study on Zambia, but equally could be used for students to consider:
Ecosystems and Biomes: Students will witness the dynamics of a Savanna / Grassland biome. The river valley setting is a perfect illustration of how biotic (the four predator families etc.) and abiotic (the Luangwa River, climate, soil) factors interact to create a unique ecosystem.
Interdependence and Food Webs: The central conflict between the four predator families demonstrates interdependence within a food web.
Documentary length: 45 minutes.
