Part 1: Write the preterit (past tense) conjugation of each infinitive for all subjects.

*Students will conjugate the following 8 infinitives for all 6 persons: ir, buscar, comprar, escoger, probarse, gastar, pedir, pagar

*A table with -ar, -er, -ir preterit endings and conjugations of ir (to go) is included.

Part 2: Personal questions: Answer each question in a complete sentence in Spanish using the preterit tense.

*There are 9 personal questions (one question for each infinitive listed in part 1 / ir (to go) is used twice).

*All questions are in the tú conjugation.

*The English translation of each question is included.

*A structured template is provided to write the answers.

*A list of helpful words is included, if students want to use it.

Sample:

1. ¿A dónde fuiste de compras para la ropa? *Name of the store can be in English

Translation: Where did you go shopping for clothes?

Template for answe: Subject + Conjugation of ir + Rest

Answer key is included on pages 5-6 for part 1 only. For part 2, student answers will vary.

This practice can be used with chapter 2B of Realidades 2 or to practice vocabulary related to clothes shopping with the preterit.

*Students can also practice orally with the questions in part 2.
