Loops and Applying loops in Python

A lesson that can be used for key stage four or key stage 5. The lesson contains the following:

Teacher Methodology:
Using the powerpoint the teacher can explain and show the python examples provided

• What a for loops is with a simple python example
• A break down explain each part of the for loop and how it works
• A example using a Destiny’s Child Song with a python code example
• How using repetition in for loops using the range function works with using a Nivana Song as an Example

Activity:
Pupils will complete a number of For and Range loop challenges and the answers are provided on the next slide. These challenges range from easy to hard.

• Show a break down of exactly how the while loops works
• Show students an example of a while loops, explain it and explain what will happen and why

Activity:

Using the powerpoint the teacher will explain the len function in python

Activity:
This activity is aimed at the more able learners. Learners will create a function from an unordered list and search for a value. No answer provided.
