Los quehaceres y las quejas practice with Tener Que Infinitive

The following people don’t like doing chores based on the room or part of the house. However, they have to do them. For each person, choose the correct infinitive phrase using the word bank based on the room or part of the house. Then, write a complete sentence using Tener que+ infinitive.

*There are 10 sentences (persons) and students will write a total of 16 sentences since some subjects (persons) will have to do more than one chore.

*A structured template is provided for student responses.

*The word bank with infinitive phrases comes with English translation (Ex: lavar la ropa: to wash clothes )

Example:

Word bank:

lavar la ropa: to wash clothes / sacudir los muebles: to dust the furniture / hacer las camas: to make the beds / pasar la aspiradora: to vaccum

  1. Marcos (Yo): No me gusta la sala. (Give 2)

Template: Subject + Conjugation of Tener + Que + Infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) phrase

Answer: Yo tengo que sacudir los muebles.

Yo tengo que pasar la aspiradora.

Answer key is included on pages 3-4. This practice can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry / exit slip. It can also be used with chapter 3A of Realidades 2 and Para Empezar chapter of Realidades 3.
