Make a Winter Poster is a creative resource designed for EYFS and KS1 that helps children explore the season of winter through art and discussion.
The pack includes a black-and-white example poster for children to colour and complete.
Children can cut out and arrange picture letter cards to build the word WINTER, as well as use a range of winter-themed picture cards to decorate their own poster.
Pictures are associated with winter, such as a bare tree, hat and scarf, snowman, a hot drink, and skates and boots.
All resources are provided in both colour and black-and-white to suit different classroom needs and printing preferences. There are 18 colour cards with corresponding black and white ones. There are letters for each included in the word ‘Winter’.
The activity supports fine motor development through cutting, colouring, and sticking, while encouraging children to talk about seasonal changes, winter weather and daily life in colder months.
It links to primary science and curriculum topics such as seasons and weather making it ideal as a topic starter, independent task, or classroom display activity during winter learning.
