A maths version of the game 'Taboo for IWB&'. An alternative version is get the pupil to at the front and tell the student the key word. The pupils then have to give clues to the 4 &';forbidden' words which are linked to the key word. My additional rules are: You can&'t say it begins with.........You can&';t use the word 'opposite&' in your clue and you are not allowed to use any numbers in your clue. Good fun, gets the class involved and will generate good discussions.

Low ability students can play with more able students by simply allowing them to use some of the" red words". Year 7 + 8 love it. I laminated the cards and students play in small groups like a card game, whoever guesses the word wins the card. they take turn to read one card at a time from the pile in the middle of the table.
