Native Americans: 6 tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy Cooperative Mini-Project

Native Americans: 6 tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy Cooperative Mini-Project is an inquiry-based lesson into the 6 tribes of the Iroquois. Students work in groups to research a tribe. The groups create an activity for other students to learn about the tribe. Students “travel” through the Iroquois confederacy area participating in each other’s activities to learn about the different tribes and show the tribe's location on a map.

- Teacher's guide
-Student directions, handouts and maps
- Complete materials lists.

NOTE: Students will need to access to books or other resources related to the American Revolution to conduct their research.

Provide this activity along with other Native American activities to engage students’ different interests and learning styles.
