Make perimeter revision exciting with this Superhero Perimeter Murder Mystery, perfect for KS2 and lower KS3 Maths. Pupils must use perimeter calculations, logical reasoning and elimination skills to solve a full whodunnit: which superhero is telling the truth, where the “crime” happened, and on which day.

On page 1, six superhero suspects each give a mathematical statement involving perimeter or missing side lengths. Only the real culprit is telling the truth, so pupils must calculate each perimeter to see who should be eliminated.

On page 2, learners analyse four different locations (The Bowling Alley, The Cinema, The Gym, The Coffee Shop). Each location has three perimeter problems, and the crime took place where exactly two calculations are correct.

The final section challenges pupils to evaluate day-of-the-week clues, where they must identify which pair of perimeter statements are both true.
A completed Accusation Grid allows pupils to record their deductions.
The final solution (page 4) confirms the correct Who, Where and When.

This resource is perfect for a high-engagement maths lesson, problem-solving activity, or end-of-term challenge, helping pupils practise perimeter in a meaningful, memorable way.
