Hello All,

Within this resource you will be able to access a practical practitioners SoL with:

  • 1 x SoL
  • 8 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons
  • 1 x Assessment task and feedback sheet
  • All handouts that go with the lessons.

Within this SoL, students will develop skills for the devising and written component units of the GCSE Drama course. They will learn about three specific practitioner groups (Kneehigh, Frantic Assembly and Punchdrunk) and the techniques attached to each style. Furthermore, they will learn how to use the style to create a small performance piece using it and they will develop their use of physical and vocal skills to create the dramatic elements. Throughout the SoL, they will focus on using exam terminology to develop their understanding of how to write about their intended audience intent and the skills they used to present it. They will also develop their own ideas about what they think drama should be like, how it can be used to benefit the wider community and how the historical decisions of practitioners has shaped the drama we see today.

My resources have been published by National Drama the UK’s leading national professional association for drama teachers and I am apart of the core team of drama matters. I hope you enjoy this resource and if you need any assistance with it, please feel free to email me at ryan_coates@outlook.com.

Regards,
Ryan
