Description:
Students will research and design a spacesuit. They will need to find out what different types of space suits do, what features need to be included and learn how an astronaut feels inside a space suit. This activity is accompanied by a video with TV Presenter Dallas Campbell in which he explains the features of the Sokol space suit. This activity also includes an augmented-reality app which can be downloaded free, and students can use to see Tim Peake wearing the Russian Sokol suit he wore during his space flights to and from the ISS.
