Required Practical: Disappearing Cross

This is a full pair of lessons containing everything you’ll need to teach the GCSE Chemistry required practical "Measuring the rate of reaction using the disappearing cross method”.
Lesson one allows students to identify variables and complete the practical to collect results, while in Lesson 2 students will plot their data on a graph, extrapolate results and describe trends, as well as complete summary and practice exam questions about the practical.

This lesson pack is suitable for students studying AQA Trilogy Combined Science (higher and foundation) and AQA Triple chemistry (higher and foundation)

Lesson Objectives:

• Measure the rate of a chemical reaction using the disappearing cross method
• Describe the effect of changing concentration on rate of reaction, using the disappearing cross method
