I teach in a Key Stage 4 Autism Specialist Centre within a mainstream post-primary school. I have been using the Level 1 Maths Functional Skills – Using Number and Number Systems PowerPoint and Workbook Bundle and Level 1 Functional Life Skills – Measure, Shape and Space PowerPoint and Workbook Bundle. Both are fantastic resources designed to meet exactly the learning outcomes in the OCN Application of Number specification. The Resources are bright and engaging and the accompanying PowerPoints for each workbook provide an excellent teaching resource. Tasks are broken down into manageable steps and provide scaffolding for learners, allowing pupils to build confidence in their ability and help them to reach the standards required for this qualification. Progress checks allow pupils and teachers to check learning at regular times. The quantity and quality of resources within each bundle make them great value for money.
