PAGE 1: E-IE / U-UE STEM CHANGE INFINITIVES

Part 1: Complete each sentence by choosing the correct infinitive from the word bank and conjugating it with the appropriate stem change. (9 sentences total, all in the Yo conjugation)

Infinitives included: pensar (to think), preferir (to prefer), cerrar (to close), defender (to defend), empezar (to start), entender (to understand), querer (to want), mentir (to lie), jugar (to play)

Part 2: Write the present tense conjugation of each infinitive with the appropriate stem change, where needed.

*Students will write all 6 conjugations of jugar, empezar, querer, preferir

Part 1: Complete each sentence by choosing the correct infinitive from the word bank and conjugating it with the appropriate stem change. (9 sentences total, 7 in the Yo conjugation and 2 with other conjugations)

Infinitives included: llover (to rain) / almorzar (to have lunch) / morir (to die) / contar (to tell) / dormir (to sleep) / encontrar (to find) / devolver (to return an object) / poder (to be able to) / volver (to return to place)

Part 2: Write the present tense conjugation of each infinitive with the appropriate stem change, where needed.

*Students will write all 6 conjugations of almorzar, poder, volver, dormir

Part 1: Complete each sentence by choosing the correct infinitive from the word bank and conjugating it with the appropriate stem change.

Part 2: Write the present tense conjugation of each infinitive with the appropriate stem change, where needed. (8 sentences total, all in the Yo conjugation)

*Students will write all 6 conjugations of pedir, repetir, decir, competir

Infinitives included: medir (to measure) / pedir (to order, to ask for) / seguir (to follow, to continue doing something) / servir (to serve) / decir (to say, to tell) / repetir (to repeat) / vestir (to get dressed) / competir (to compete)
