Stereotyping as an Issue – A-LEVEL - INDIVIDUAL LESSON - MEDIA AUDIENCES
This is one lesson taken from a full scheme which explores issues, debates and wider contexts historical, political, social and financial)! The entire scheme is available in my shop, as are the rest of the individual lessons.

These lessons are designed to be delivered after students have covered the four key concepts of Media Language, Media Audiences, Media Industries and Media Representation. A scheme for each of these can be found in my shop. It is not essential that you do this, but these lessons are designed for students who have studied the media to some level. This is not an introduction and I deliver this in the second year of study (Year 13).

This particular lesson covers the issue of stereotypes and considers how damaging or useful they may be. A series of questions on a range of types of stereotypes are set out.

- Individual Power-Point lesson with objectives, success criteria mapped to grades/levels, starter activity, main tasks with examples, plenary assessment, extension activities for further learning and extensive teachers notes
