The original and still the best! Our heads of department have been hard at work creating a complete series of predicted exams for Summer 2027.

Look no further – the complete set of Pearson Edexcel A Level Mathematics (9MA0) predicted exams, covering all three examination papers, each with a detailed accompanying mark scheme.

These questions are completely original and have been designed from scratch. There has been no reuse of previous examination questions.

This bundle includes:

9MA0/01 – Paper 1: Pure Mathematics 1
9MA0/02 – Paper 2: Pure Mathematics 2
9MA0/03 – Paper 3: Statistics and Mechanics, supplied as two separate components:

9MA0/31 – Statistics
9MA0/32 – Mechanics

Each predicted paper has been designed to follow the format, style and level of challenge of the real Pearson Edexcel A Level Mathematics examinations as closely as possible.

Papers 1 and 2 each have a 2-hour duration and 100-mark total. Paper 3 also has a 2-hour duration and 100-mark total, divided equally between Statistics and Mechanics.

Detailed mark schemes are included for all three papers, showing acceptable methods, final answers and how marks should be awarded.

Paper 1 – Pure Mathematics 1

The paper covers:

• Algebra, functions and binomial expansion
• Sequences and series
• Trigonometry and small-angle approximations
• Exponentials and logarithms
• Vectors and coordinate geometry
• Differentiation and rates of change
• Numerical methods and integration
• Mathematical proof and modelling

Paper 2 – Pure Mathematics 2

The paper covers:

• Algebra, functions and modulus
• Sequences, series and trigonometry
• Exponentials and logarithms
• Coordinate geometry and optimisation
• Numerical methods and iteration
• Integration techniques and limits
• Differential equations
• Mathematical proof and problem-solving

Paper 3 – Statistics and Mechanics

Statistics (9MA0/31) covers:

• Sampling and statistical data
• Probability and conditional probability
• Binomial and Normal distributions
• Correlation and regression
• Statistical hypothesis testing
• Statistical modelling and interpretation

Mechanics (9MA0/32) covers:

• Kinematics and velocity–time graphs
• Moments and equilibrium
• Connected particles, forces and friction
• Two-dimensional vector kinematics
• Motion on inclined planes
• Projectile motion and mathematical modelling

The 2027 papers have been written following detailed analysis of previous Pearson Edexcel examinations, mark schemes and assessment patterns, with particular care taken to create fresh questions rather than reproduce those from previous examinations.

Disclaimer: These documents were created by department heads with many years of experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel A Level Mathematics course. We cannot, however, guarantee that they are an accurate representation of the Summer 2027 examinations, and students should not treat them as such. Please use these papers as revision aids alongside other methods of preparation.
