The Christmas Story Sequencing Sheet is a simple resource designed for EYFS and KS1 children to explore the Nativity story through drawing, writing, colouring, and sequencing.
On page 1, children are presented with four colour illustrations showing key moments from the Christmas story: the angel appearing to Mary, Mary and Joseph travelling to Bethlehem, the birth of baby Jesus, and the arrival of the three kings. Children can write a word, phrase, or short sentence for each picture, then cut out and sequence the events.
Page 2 includes the same four scenes in black and white, allowing children to colour the pictures themselves.
Page 3 provides four blank boxes for children to draw the story in order or paste the pictures, supporting recall and sequencing skills.
Page 4 includes four boxes with lines, encouraging children to write about each part of the story in sequence.
The resource supports early writing, storytelling, sequencing, and fine motor skills, while linking to Christianity, Christmas, festivals, and celebrations, making it ideal for classroom, RE, and cross-curricular learning in EYFS and KS1.
