This is a lesson that has been created for a unit titled ‘Impossible places’ and it is by far the favourite for my students.

The lesson looks at the Chernobyl disaster and when we can next live there. It starts by showing a photograph of the fairground that never got used which I mainly use for questioning. After students have written their objectives, they then work in groups to answer the question sheet using the resources. Students then watch some video clips which sum up the lesson. (If there is time I also show them the top gear clip too). The lesson ends with a plenary.

A fantastic lesson which is always thoroughly enjoyed.
